Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Our "new world" structure takes care of the inner workings of taxes, liability, materials/space, and insurance panels/claims, so you can focus on providing the best care for your clients. You even have an opportunity to bring your own best friend (your dog) to help maximize comfort and emerging treatment modalities. 

Qualifications

  • Active South Dakota professional license as one of the following: CSW, CSW-PIP, LPC, LPC-MH, Licensed Psychologist

  • Knowledge and application of individual, couples, family, group counseling principles

  • Direct clinical psychotherapy experience preferred but not required. 

  • Two years’ experience in the Social Services and/or Mental Health field is required.

  • Two professional references that can attest to your character, work ethic, and competency in the social services field. References must have directly observed or worked with you in a professional capacity and can attest to your character, work ethic, and ability (these will be verified)

  • Foundational psychotherapy treatments + theories + process

  • Must be organized, dedicated and ambitious professional with excellent attention to detail, and passion to providing quality clinical psychotherapy

  • Must be willing to be directed, follow leadership and work collaboratively with entire therapy office and staff

Responsibilities

Clinical Psychotherapy

  • Participate in required agency training including: Shadowing psychotherapy sessions with licensed PLC therapist

  • Conduct individual mental health/psychotherapy sessions following their Code of Ethics related to their respective licensing board Licensing Boards Social Work or Professional Counseling

  • Maintaining a Full-Time caseload of clinical psychotherapy sessions at 25 sessions/weekly on average.

  • Learn and maintain current client electronic medical records including clinical intake paperwork, assessment, treatment plans, progress notes, and client resource care and recommendation. 

  • Maintain all CEU training to keep their professional license active and current

  • Coordinate with Office Manager in providing all documents necessary for insurance credentialing

  • Learn and practice client ethics and counseling competencies

Agency

  • Learn and contribute input to therapy/counseling policies and procedures, workflow as necessary

  • Attendance and participation required for PLC Group Supervision, Staff Meetings, and Individual Supervision (as applicable per license) 

  • Contribute to PLC marketing efforts to promote therapist skills through tasks including content creation for: promotional social media/digital/in person networking

  • Complete clinical agency Standard of Practices and Procedures Training, follow and adhere to PLC policies and procedures as outlined in initial training
